Compared to an official Xbox One pad, the X is ever so slightly wider and the controls on the left and right are spread a little further apart. Unlike the Pro Compact, this is a full-sized controller and fits nicely in larger hands. In exchange though, the Revolution X is quite a bit cheaper, so while I personally think any controller over £60 or £70 should probably have a wireless option, that mostly seems fair.Īs opposed to the aforementioned rubber coating, this controller has matte plastic on the front and textured plastic down the sides and lower back of the handles for extra grip in those long gaming sessions. Compared to the Unlimited it does miss out on a few of the more luxurious features of that pad like the rubber coating and wireless connectivity. In fact the X shares many similarities with the Unlimited and the other controllers in Nacon’s “ Revolution” line. The controller and all its accessories can easily be transported in the included rigid storage case.The Revolution X is a matte black controller featuring silver thumbsticks with the signature Nacon designs on black caps, white LED indicators for power and settings profiles, and a customisable LED ring around the right thumbstick, just like the Revolution Unlimited Pro controller we reviewed previously. You can even change the colour and brightness of the right stick backlighting for a truly personalised look! And with button mapping, left and right stick response curve, stick and axis inversion, dead zone sensitivity for each trigger, and vibration intensity, the customisation possibilities are endless. In PS4™-Advanced and PC-Advanced modes, you can access game profiles created with the included software. With the controls on the underside of the controller, you can quickly adjust the headset volume, game mode (1 - PS4™, 2 - PS4™-Advanced, 3 - PC-Advanced) and the controller communication mode. It also includes a headset jack for chat and audio features in both communication modes. Thanks to the integrated Bluetooth® receiver, you can choose between wired and wireless mode. Additional weights can be added to the concealed compartments on each of the controller's handles. The sensitivity of the REVOLUTION Unlimited Pro Controller’s sticks can be easily adjusted thanks to interchangeable heads (concave or convex) and shafts (different diameters). It also offers all the customisation features, both manual and via software, that competitive players need. The REVOLUTION Unlimited Pro Controller is NACON's first PS4™ controller with a wireless mode.
